NADP Hosts Comprehensive MDP for IOFHS Officers, Focusing on Universal Health Coverage and Digital Health Initiatives

National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) Nagpur successfully conducted a Management Development Program (MDP) for medical officers of the Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service (IOFHS) from July 22 to July 24, 2024, in Srinagar.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri. Sanjeev Gupta IOFS Addl. Director General Ordnance, Directorate of Ordnance (C&S), Kolkata in the presence of * Dr. A. S. Khan IOFS, General Manager/ NADP & Course Director and Dr Sandeep Haldar, Addl. Director of Health Service, Directorate of Ordnance (C&S), Kolkata on 22/07/24 at Hotel Grand Mamta, Srinagar.

This specialized training program aimed to enhance the leadership and managerial skills of IOFHS officers, equipping them with the latest strategies, practices to effectively manage their higher responsibilities and to align them with the Govt. policies for Universal Health Coverage & Ayushmann Bharat Digital Mission. Esteemed senior Govt officers from Director General Health Services, New Delhi, National Health Mission and faculty from IIM Jammu led the sessions, provided valuable insights and practical knowledge. The MDP covered a range of topics including Best Practices in Hospital Management”, “Familiarization with Central Health Services (CHS): Structure, Roles, Responsibilities, Challenges & Opportunities, ABDM Stakeholder Ecosystem & Intended Benefits, Digital Health Incentives Schemes & ABDM Grievance Redressal, “Role of NHA in achieving the vision of Universal Health Coverage including environmental visits etc.

Esteemed senior Govt officials and faculty from IIM Jammu led the sessions, provided valuable insights and practical knowledge. The program was an enriching experience, fostering professional growth and development. among participants. 47 Senior Medical officers of SAG level from different Ordnance Factory Hospitals have attended the programme. This was the largest participation at SAG level.

The programme concluded on 24th July 2024 in the presence of Chief Guest Shri Sudhir Srivastava IOFS, Director General Ordnance, Directorate of Ordnance (C&S), Kolkata and Guest of Honour Dr P M Mallick, Director of Health Service, Directorate of Ordnance (C&S), Kolkata. This program received all round appreciation from the participants for the course content, faculty coverage, excellent logistics support, food & hospitality and lauded profusely to NADP team led by Dr A.S. Khan, GM NADP. Inclusion of the spouses enhanced bonhomie and comradeship amongst the medical fraternity. DGO, Addl. DGO C&S Kolkata also lauded the efforts of Team NADP for conducting the MDP successfully.
