Revolutionizing Training: NADP's Pioneering Courses on the iGOT Karmayogi Platform

 


In pursuit of Bhārata’s grand vision of becoming “Ātma-Nirbhar-Bhārat” and “Vikasita-Bhārata” by 2047, while aspiring to establish itself as the “Viśhva-Guru”, India embarks on a transformative journey through Mission Karmayogi. This mission is designed to develop four essential competencies among civil servants: Vikasa (Resolve for Developed India), Garva (Pride in India’s Legacy), Kartavya (Fulfillment of Duties), and Ekata (Strength in Unity).

National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) made its debut on the iGOT platform with two courses: “Blissful Post Retirement Life 2.0” and “Meditation-Principles & Practices”. Furthermore, NADP is developing domain-specific courses for the Ministry of Defence, including “Defence Acquisition Policy & Procurement Strategies”, “Sectoral Knowledge of Defence Production”, “Innovation through iDEX”, and “Defence Exports” amongst others.

In a pioneering move, NADP has integrated iGOT platform courses into its PGDM curriculum, with a pilot course on Sustainable Procurement as part of the ESG elective. NADP is offering hybrid training for its MDPs, with a suitable mix of iGoT courses, adding to effectiveness and impact of such programmes.  As NADP expands its capacity-building efforts beyond defence professionals to the entire civil services, it stands at the forefront of revolutionizing public HR competency building in India, leveraging its strength in Defence and Management domain.

Anchored by an apex body headed by the Prime Minister, Mission Karmayogi leverages the innovative iGOT Karmayogi platform to enable officials to explore, acquire, and certify competencies crucial for their roles. This platform also fosters inter-departmental collaboration, driving efficiency and innovation across government operations.

The sheer scale of capacity building envisioned necessitates a robust e-learning strategy. The iGOT platform, with over 40 lakh government employees registered and more than 1000 courses available online, epitomizes this strategy. With contributions from Central Training Institutes (CTIs) creating eLearning courses aligned with FRAC-defined competencies (Framework for Roles, Activities and Competencies), this initiative ensures accessible and relevant training for all government employees. NADP's integration into the iGOT platform, with new courses and pioneering curriculum inclusion, marks a significant step in public HR competency building.
