MOU Signing Ceremony between NADP & IIM Indore on 6th Aug 2024
In
a landmark step forward, NADP and IIM Indore have solidified their collaboration by signing a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of
IIM Indore and Dr J P Dash, CGM, NADP in presence of Dr
A S Khan, Mr S A N Murthy along with others.
The MoU outlines a comprehensive range of joint activities,
including lectures, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, symposia, webinars,
and training programs in areas like Sustainability, Public Policy, ESG issues,
and Administration. It also promotes joint research, publications, and
knowledge sharing. This partnership underscores a shared vision of fostering
academic and professional excellence to contribute significantly to India's Atma
Nirbhar Mission. This will help NADP to bring quality to their PGDM
Program by transforming their systems, processes and pedagogy.This year marked
the commencement of this collaboration with the first batch of PGDM students
specializing in Defence participating in a week-long summer immersion program
at IIM Indore. Additionally, NADP has sought IIM Indore's expertise in
developing a strategic roadmap for transforming ordnance factories under the
new seven DPSUs and conducting action research to improve productivity.
The
delegation from IIM Indore, including Prof. Subin Sudhir (Associate Dean - EE),
Prof. D.L. Sunder (Professor - Strategy), Prof. Prabin Panigrahi (Professor -
IS), Prof. Nishit Sinha (Assistant Professor - OBHR), and Mr. Manas Parihar
(Officer - HR), engaged in extensive discussions with NADP faculty, staff,
adjunct faculty members, and students. These discussions aimed to identify
challenges and opportunities in admission, program delivery, internship, and
placement processes. The IIM Indore team was impressed with the pristine campus
and the Technical Exhibit Centre showcasing a range of equipment used by the
Indian Armed Forces, along with the enchanting Armed Forces Philately Gallery.
This
strategic partnership between IIM Indore and NADP is poised to make a
significant impact on capacity building within the Indian defence sector. By
leveraging the strengths of both institutions, the collaboration aims to drive
policy development, facilitate knowledge exchange, and nurture a new generation
of professionals ready to address the evolving challenges within the defence
domain and improve the course delivery of PGDM course to become industry ready.
