NADP Hosts Successful Mid Career Training Program-1 for IOFS cadre officers (MCTP-1) From 12th to 30th August 2024
Nagpur, [From 12th to 30th August 2024] – The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) successfully concluded its Mid-Career Training Program-1 (MCTP-1) for officers of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) from the 12th to the 30th of August 2024. This comprehensive program, designed for officers from the 2011 and 2012 batches, provided valuable insights and leadership training to enhance their professional skills and impact within their organizations.
The MCTP-1 program was meticulously crafted to address a wide range of critical areas including effective communication, cybersecurity, strategic management, and operational excellence. The program featured sessions led by esteemed experts and industry leaders, each bringing their unique perspective and expertise.
Key Highlights of the Program:
Opening Address: Shri S. A. N. Murthy, GM & OITC, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the significance of the training and setting the tone for the sessions to follow.
Effective Communication & Leadership: Dr. Surekha Thacker, Former Director, School of Academic Leadership, RGI Nagpur, conducted sessions on effective communication, time management, overcoming procrastination, and leadership for change. Her insights were instrumental in setting a strong foundation for leadership development.
Cybersecurity Leadership: Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, Digital Mobile Forensics Investigator & CTO DelaPlex, Nagpur, provided crucial knowledge on safeguarding organizations in the digital age, emphasizing the importance of cybersecurity in today’s interconnected world.
Defence Production Insights: Shri K V Ajith, Director Coordination, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, covered important topics such as Srijan, IDeX, ADITI, DTIS, Defence Industrial Corridors, PM Gatishakti, and Defence Offsets, along with the latest developments in the Department’s 100-day plan and Viksit Bharat targets for 2047.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Shri R S Soni, Former GM/OFK and Former Director/AI Cell-OFB, focused on business analytics and data-driven decision-making, equipping officers with the tools to enhance their strategic decision-making processes.
Corporate Governance & New Labour Codes: CS (Dr.) Shantanu Jog, Corporate Governance Expert, led sessions on enhancing corporate integrity and accountability, and discussed the implications of new labor codes.
Strategic ESG Management: Dr. J P Dash, CGM, NADPZ, provided insights into strategic ESG management, driving sustainable business practices.
Operational Excellence: Shri R NandaKumar, PQSI, Chennai, delivered impactful sessions on Lean Six Sigma strategies, emphasizing operational excellence and efficiency.
Outbound Training: The program included an outbound training at the SAHAS Camp site, providing practical, hands-on experience in leadership and team building.
HR Capacity Building & Talent Management: Shri Amit Gupta, General Manager/HR, IOCL HQ, focused on HR capacity building and talent management, essential for managing and retaining high-performing teams.
Innovative Automation & Efficiency: Shri Nitin Kumar, Corporate Trainer, Tetrahedron Manufacturing Services, Noida, concluded the program with sessions on value stream mapping, operational efficiency, innovative automation, and energy cost management.
Closing Remarks: The program concluded with a session led by Shri Krishna Mohan, IAS (Retd.), Former Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Haryana, on leadership, ethics, and preventive vigilance.
